Getting access

Margin is currently in private beta for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Email us to request access. Beta builds are distributed through Apple's TestFlight, and you also need an invited Margin account to sign in. There is no public App Store release yet.

Notes and syncing

Use the same Margin account on each device. Your notes remain available offline, and changes sync when you reconnect. If something looks wrong, keep the app installed and contact support before signing out or removing local data.

Tell us your device, app version, and what you expected to happen. Please don't send passwords or private note contents. You can export individual notes as Markdown from the app's sharing controls.

Saved links in Queue

Share a link to Margin or add it to Queue. Article and transcript availability depends on the source. Paywalls, private media, and some providers may prevent extraction. If a link cannot be processed, it stays saved so you can open the original. Supported podcast audio may be transcribed automatically.

Connect an AI tool

In a compatible tool's MCP connection settings, use this server address:

Sign in to Margin and review the requested permissions. Reading and writing notes and Queue items use separate permissions. Only connect tools you trust with the content in your account.

If you previously connected through our workers.dev address, update the URL above and reconnect. Compatibility depends on the tool's OAuth and MCP support.

Your account and data

For account access, a copy of your data, or account deletion, email hello@writemargin.app from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify account ownership. See our privacy policy for how Margin processes your information.
